Apartment Decor Part Two

Apartment Decor Part Two

Everyday I'm finding more and more ideas for apartment decor. The options are endless, so I'm still deciding on what exactly I want to do. Today, I'm talking about some ideas for the common space and kitchen area.

Coffee Bar // I've always loved the idea of having a separate area in the kitchen for a little coffee station. I tried to do this in my bedroom last year, but I couldn't find the perfect table. The one in the photo above is perfect for two reasons: the shelves allow for more storage of coffee, mugs, etc., and two, I LOVE the white table.

My friends and I made Caroline a cute mug holder for her birthday and we're hoping to hang it in the apartment this year! I love to collect coffee mugs so getting to display a few is always fun too.

Photo Wall // Caroline and I have talked about having a cute little "Instagram wall" in the hallway space between our rooms. The apartment we're living in is unique because it is three floors and has a significant amount of space between the bedrooms. We thought it would be really cute to make a collage wall of Polaroids or magazine cutouts to give that space some life.

Furniture // For the past two years I've had my furniture included with my apartment, and I will again this year too. But, the rooms here are a little bigger and I'd love to have a big accent chair along with my bed, desk, etc.

I was at Target recently and saw some that were really nice. They have so many available online here! P.S. Overstock.com is having a huge sale right now. You can find great accent chairs and so many other things for the home there (Sale ends in one day!!)

Pinterest Collection // I've put together a collection of some of my Pinspiration for these posts and my apartment. I believe finding inspiration in everything you do is what keeps your creativity growing. Reading other blogs, reading magazines and finding photos are some of the best ways to find inspiration. The great thing is that you are able to use photos as inspiration, then adapt them to fit your space. These photos are a starting point, but I'm excited to actually start decorating!
